The Contracts Administrator is an experienced, organized and highly detail-oriented candidate capable of ensuring the compliance, risk management and legal services for the company. This role will assist the Director of Contract Administration and, within the negotiation of contract terms with clients, subcontractors, and vendors, help the executive and management staff of Robins & Morton in applying the policies and procedures necessary to protect R&M’s best interest.

DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Assist in the preparation and administration of various types of agreements for the company; primarily including owner construction contracts, license agreements, real estate leases, confidentiality agreements, and other general business contracts
  • Assist project managers in negotiations of subcontractor and purchase order terms with subcontractors and vendors
  • Work alongside our Finance & Risk Management teams to assist in subcontractor qualification, Subcontractor bond review, and Owner provided Builder’s Risk compliance
  • Established relationships with outside counsel and maintain effective communications to minimize costs while facilitating good legal advice
  • Periodically review and update company’s standard forms as a result of identifying applicable statutes, judicial decisions, and codes. This includes AIA owner contract templates, Subcontract(s), and Purchase Order(s)
  • Assist in managing Insurance, bond, and lien claims
  • Assist in the managing, updating and administrative support for company policies and procedures
  • Assist in administering and maintaining Subcontractor Default Insurance (“SDI”) program, including assessments and approval of subcontractors qualifying for inclusion in the SDI program
  • Assist in managing compliance, risk management and legal services for the company
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction, business administration or risk management
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in construction or construction law
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working in a construction project management role
  • Sound judgement and ability to analyze situations and information
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity
