Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Position Summary
Comfort Systems USA Mid South is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support the execution of our safety programs and initiatives across the organization. This role will assist with safety reporting, compliance tracking, training coordination, jobsite inspections, and safety program administration. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and passionate about creating a strong safety culture. This position offers an opportunity to develop technical safety expertise while supporting operations and field teams throughout the Mid South region.
Safety Reporting & Analytics- Maintain safety reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
- Track leading and lagging safety indicators.
- Prepare weekly and monthly safety reports for leadership.
- Assist with OSHA recordkeeping and documentation requirements.
- Maintain safety files, certifications, and training records.
- Support regulatory compliance efforts and company safety standards.
- Track corrective actions resulting from inspections, audits, and incidents.
- Assist with OSHA 300 and OSHA 300A log administration.
- Participate in jobsite safety inspections and observations.
- Assist with identifying hazards and documenting corrective actions.
- Support project teams in maintaining safe work practices.
- Promote compliance with company safety policies and PPE requirements.
- Coordinate employee safety training and certification tracking.
- Assist with new hire safety orientations.
- Support toolbox talks and safety communications.
- Assist with company-wide safety campaigns and initiatives.
- Assist with incident, injury, and near‑miss documentation.
- Gather information necessary for investigations and reporting.
- Track corrective actions through completion.
- Represent Comfort Systems USA Mid South with professionalism and integrity.
- Build positive working relationships with field personnel, operations leadership, and support teams.
- Support the company’s commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and time‑management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Ability to communicate effectively with field and office personnel.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to travel to jobsites throughout the Mid South service area as needed.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Construction Management, Business, or related field.
- Construction, industrial, manufacturing, or safety‑related experience.
- OSHA 10 certification.
- OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain within the first year.
- Experience maintaining reports, dashboards, or compliance documentation.
- Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
