Job Title: Operator (Commercial Masonry Construction)
Location: Birmingham, AL or Huntsville, AL
Compensation: $18 - $25/hr

Tiello has partnered with a highly successful Commercial Masonry Contractor in Birmingham and Huntsville, AL area on their search for a skilled Operator to join their growing team.
RoleSummary:
The Operator will assist masons and the field team by preparing materials, maintaining clean and safe job sites, and ensuring crews have the resources needed to complete projects efficiently.
Duties & Responsibilities:- Operate telehandlers, forklifts, skid steers, excavators, and other construction equipment safely and efficiently
- Transport brick, block, mortar, scaffolding, and other materials throughout the job site
- Load and unload trucks with construction materials and equipment
- Assist with site grading, excavation, and general site preparation as needed
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or repair needs
- Maintain equipment in clean and safe operating condition
- Work closely with masons, laborers, and foremen to ensure materials are delivered where needed
- Follow lift plans and safely maneuver materials in congested construction environments
- Adhere to OSHA regulations and all company safety policies
- Assist with general labor duties when equipment operation is not required
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2+ years of experience operating construction equipment
- Experience operating telehandlers (Lull), forklifts, skid steers, and/or excavators on commercial construction sites
- Ability to safely handle masonry materials such as brick, block, and pallets of mortar
- Knowledge of equipment safety procedures and preventative maintenance
- Ability to read hand signals and communicate effectively with field personnel
- OSHA certification and equipment certifications preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
