Drywall Construction Estimator

Join an established Division 9 subcontractor building a growing book of commercial new construction work. As workload and project pipeline expand, they're looking for a sharp, detail-driven estimator to own Division 9 pricing and preconstruction — working closely with leadership, GCs, and suppliers to win and set up profitable work.

About the Role

• Lead Division 9 estimating end-to-end — drywall, metal framing, insulation, ceiling systems, and painting scope
• Complete takeoffs and quantity surveys from drawings and project specs
• Develop competitive, well-supported bid packages and pricing
• Collect and compare subcontractor and vendor quotes to find the best value
• Catch scope holes, exclusions, and risk items before contracts are signed
• Support the transition from awarded bid into procurement and buyout
• Serve as the primary point of contact with GC estimators and field supervision during the bid and preconstruction phases
• Partner with project managers and field leadership to hand off clean, well-scoped jobs
• Juggle an active bid pipeline across overlapping deadlines

Requirements

• Background in Division 9 / commercial drywall estimating strongly preferred
• Track record bidding large-scale commercial new construction projects
• Solid grasp of drywall assemblies, metal stud framing, ceiling grid systems, insulation, and paint scopes
• Comfortable reading and marking up architectural drawings and specs
• Proficiency in a takeoff/estimating platform (STACK, Plan Swift, Bluebeam, OST, Quick Bid, or equivalent)
• Sharp communicator who stays organized under pressure
• Able to run several bids at once without dropping deadlines
