This is a skilled position involving control and operation of the Rake/Lute on an asphalt paving crew.

• Operate an Asphalt Rake/Lute on road construction projects (experience preferred).
• Rake asphalt to proper grade and finish before compaction.
• Match and finish freshly laid asphalt paving joints.
• Assist the Screed Operator with maintaining grade and screed extensions.
• Smooth and adjust surface irregularities in asphalt to restore surface finish.
• Lift up to 25 pounds as required by the job.
• Work varying hours and possible weekends.
• Perform other manual tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
• The job duties described herein are not exhaustive and may be supplemented.

• Prior experience operating an Asphalt Rake/Lute on road construction projects preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
