Position Overview:
The Estimator supports the preparation of cost estimates for commercial, federal, industrial, and healthcare construction projects. This role assists in analyzing drawings and specifications, quantifying materials and labor, and gathering pricing from subcontractors and suppliers. - Assist with preparing accurate and detailed estimates for construction projects.
- Support the evaluation of drawings and specifications to understand scope.
- Help collect and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes.
- Participate in internal estimating meetings and bid reviews.
- Assist with organizing bid documents and maintaining estimate records.
- Communicate scope of work and pricing with internal teams and subcontractors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with estimating software (such as Timberline, iSqFt, or On-Screen Takeoff) is a plus.
