Piping Superintendent - Commercial Construction

Birmingham, Alabama

A growing construction organization is seeking an experienced Piping Superintendent to lead field operations and ensure piping projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

• Supervise piping crews and subcontractors on active construction projects.
• Coordinate daily field activities, manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Read and interpret piping drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, General Contractors, and other trades.
• Monitor installation quality, productivity, and jobsite safety.
• Plan upcoming work and coordinate manpower and material requirements.
• Identify and resolve field issues and coordinate solutions.
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on field progress.
• Ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and applicable codes and standards.

• 5–7 years of piping construction experience as a Foreman or Journeyman,
  OR 1–3 years of experience as a Piping Superintendent
  .
• Strong commercial, industrial, mechanical, or process piping construction experience.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and piping plans.
• Strong crew leadership and field-management skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple trades and project activities.
• Solid knowledge of piping installation methods, materials, and construction practices.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
• No Journeyman license required.

• $35–$45 per hour
  , depending on experience
