At Culton Companies, our Sewing and Fabric Finishing Assistant supports our Fabric Graphics Production Manager in turning printed fabric into finished, ready-to-install trade show graphics. If you're detail-oriented, good with your hands, and want to learn a skilled trade, this is your way in.
THE OPPORTUNITYCulton Companies designs and builds award‑winning trade show exhibits and branded commercial interiors for clients all over the country — and our fabric graphics, from tension fabric displays to SEG frames, have to be finished with precision before they ever reach a show floor. We're looking for a Sewing and Fabric Finishing Assistant to join our Fabric Graphics Production team supporting both Expo Displays and Method-1.
You'll work directly alongside our, Fabric Graphics Production Manager learning to measure, cut, trim, and finish printed fabric graphics to exact specifications. No direct experience is required — a working knowledge of sewing or fabric work is a plus, but we're just as focused on finding someone with the patience, precision, and willingness to learn this trade.
WHAT YOU'LL DO- Assist the Fabric Graphics Production Manager with measuring, cutting, and trimming printed fabric graphics
- Support sewing, hemming, and finishing tasks on fabric graphics and tension fabric displays
- Prepare fabric materials for sewing, including layout, alignment, and trimming to specification
- Inspect finished fabric graphics for quality, accuracy, and consistency before they leave the production floor
- Handle and organize fabric materials and finished graphics to keep the workspace efficient and orderly
- Learn and follow proper techniques for SEG (silicone edge graphic) finishing and other fabric graphic hardware
- Collaborate with the Fabric Graphics Production and Graphics Production teams to meet client deadlines
- Working knowledge of sewing, hemming, or fabric finishing techniques
- Experience with sewing machines, industrial sewing equipment, or fabric cutting tools
- Background in textiles, tailoring, upholstery, or a related hands‑on trade
- Experience in a production, manufacturing, or fabrication environment
Full-time, hourly position — Monday through Friday, standard production hours (or thereabouts)
Competitive hourly pay $17- $20 based on experience, with on-the-job training provided
Based at our Woodlands Drive Trussville, Alabama headquarters facility

Requirements WHAT YOU BRINGRequired:
- Willingness to learn a skilled trade — no direct sewing or fabric finishing experience required
- A keen eye for detail and commitment to precision
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, and trim materials to exact specifications
- Comfortable using basic hand tools and, with training, sewing machines and other finishing equipment
- Physical ability to stand, bend, and handle large pieces of fabric material for extended periods
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and reliable work ethic
