Position: Member Service Associate (Homewood)

Position Overview

Legacy Community Federal Credit Union is looking for the right candidate to join our team as a full time Member Service Associate.

Legacy is committed to assisting our members in the greater Birmingham area at one of our ten branches. Additionally, we are proud to be the official credit union of the University of Alabama  want to help our members Craft their Legacy by providing products and services to our members that help fulfill their financial needs. We have been loyal to the UAB and Birmingham community since 1955.

. We offer two retirement plans:

. We also have 12 paid holidays, 12 vacation days, and 10 sick days for our employees! This is a full time position, with the standard hours being Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., and Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Responsibilities

In this Member Service Associate position, you will effectively assist our members with all of their financial transactions while providing exceptional customer service. You will handle basic cash transactions, withdrawals, deposits, transfers, loan payments, and more, ensuring precision and care. Additionally, you may recommend and sell products and services, and direct members to various departments for specific information and services that cater to their individual needs/goals.

You will also be happy to jump in and perform a variety of miscellaneous tasks including typing, filing, computer input, and answering the telephone.

Qualifications
  • Prior customer service experience
  • Experience handling money
  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 1 month of related experience
