Role Description

The Valet Team Lead role is a full-time, on-site position based in Birmingham, AL. This role oversees daily valet operations , including coordinating team member task, assigning parking areas, and ensuring efficient vehicle flow. The Valet Team Lead monitors service standards, supports team members in delivering courteous, professional guest interactions, and responds promptly to guest concerns or special requests. The role also involves training new staff on safety procedures, driving and parking protocols, and customer service expectations.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, reporting operational issues to management, and helping uphold National Parking’s high standards of safety, appearance, and reliability.

Qualifications
  • Leadership and team coordination skills, including experience supervising frontline service staff and managing shift operations.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills to interact effectively with guests, clients, and team members.
  • Safe driving habits and a valid driver’s license, with the ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles as needed.
  • Organizational and problem-solving skills for handling high-traffic situations, special events, and unexpected operational challenges.
  • Reliability and professionalism, including consistent punctuality, adherence to uniform and appearance standards, and respect for company policies.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, move quickly and safely in parking areas, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Prior valet, hospitality, or parking management experience is preferred; experience in customer-facing roles is highly beneficial.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; bilingual skills are a plus.
