Assistant Design Project Manager

Our client, a rapidly growing national organization with hundreds of locations across the U.S., is seeking an Assistant Design Project Manager to support its Real Estate & Design team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career design professional who wants hands-on exposure to large-scale, multi-site development projects while building toward a Design Project Manager role.

This position plays a key role in supporting projects from initial concept through construction, ensuring brand consistency, efficient execution, and alignment with company-wide design standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing design packages for new builds, renovations, and acquired locations
• Maintain and update project documentation, including trackers, specifications, and budget-related materials
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and vendors to ensure project milestones are met
• Review drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with established design standards
• Support procurement and tracking of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E)
• Partner cross-functionally with Real Estate and Construction teams to address design-related questions and challenges

Ideal Background

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture
• 1-3 years of experience in design, architecture, or project coordination (corporate or multi-site experience preferred)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch Up, and Microsoft Office
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to communicate effectively across teams
• Solution-oriented approach with a desire to grow into a full Design Project Manager role
