Senior Designer; Birmingham, AL

Overview

Senior Designer sought to join a team that creates innovative trade show exhibits, commercial interiors, and museums. The role involves designing highly creative three-dimensional spaces within a structured process that allows for creative freedom, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

• Interact with clients in meetings, sketching concepts on the fly and during site tours.
• Develop and present concepts that align with client goals and project requirements.
• Juggle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail and quality.
• Collaborate with production engineers, carpenters, and other designers to refine ideas and ensure feasibility within the project’s vertical integration workflow.
• Contribute creative energy to the design process and help drive projects from concept through delivery.

• At least 5 years of professional design experience, with a strong portfolio in three-dimensional spaces (trade show exhibits, interiors, or related fields).
• Ability to interact comfortably and eloquently with clients, presenting concepts clearly.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong creativity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work within a structured process while contributing personal approach to project execution.

This position is based in Birmingham, AL, at the corporate headquarters. It is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week salaried role, typically Monday–Friday, 8:00–5:00 (or thereabouts).
