Seeking a Compassionate Primary Care Physician in Birmingham, AL

Position Summary: Our client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician to join their team in delivering high-quality care to our diverse and underserved patient population. The ideal candidate will diagnose, educate, and initiate treatment in an outpatient clinic setting, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to promote health and prevent disease. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a health center committed to comprehensive, patient-centered care.

Core

Responsibilities
  • Comprehensive Clinical Care: Examine patients of all backgrounds, diagnose conditions, order/interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging), and develop and implement personalized care plans for long-term conditions (e.g., diabetes, hypertension) and conduct wellness exams.
  • Team-Based Care & Coordination: Collaborate with internal and community providers, and specialists to manage care transitions, ensuring continuity, particularly for medically complex patients. Supervise and support advanced practice professionals.
  • Patient Advocacy & Communication: Build trusting, long‑term relationships through effective, empathetic communication. Educate patients and families on disease management and healthy lifestyle changes.
  • Efficient Workflow & Technology Adoption: Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to maintain accurate, up‑to‑date, and detailed documentation in the electronic medical record system.
Requirements

Qualifications:

Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.

Certification: Board Certified/Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related field.

Licensure: Current unrestricted state medical license and DEA license.
