The Instructional Designer applies instructional design, adult learning, and multimedia expertise to analyze learning needs and design, develop, implement, evaluate, and maintain high-quality learning solutions that support organizational performance and business outcomes.
Working closely with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and instructors, this role translates instructional, learning, and performance objectives into effective instructor-led, virtual, blended, and digital learning experiences. Deliverables include eLearning modules, facilitator and participant guides, job aids, and performance support tools. All learning solutions are engaging, accessible, instructionally sound, and aligned with established standards, templates, and branding guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain curriculum and training solutions, including instructor-led, virtual, blended, and digital learning experiences.
- Define learner outcomes (goals and objectives), content structure, instructional strategies, delivery formats, and media selection to ensure continuity across courses.
- Apply established instructional design theories, adult learning principles, and best practices to create effective learning materials and performance support tools.
- Execute project plans, manage timelines, and ensure learning projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with business partners, subject matter experts, instructors, and stakeholders to develop accurate and effective learning materials.
- Ensure all online and digital learning materials comply with system requirements and accessibility standards across learning technologies.
- Upload, organize, and maintain course content and documentation in systems such as SharePoint and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Maintain and update courses by editing content and publishing revisions in accordance with customer needs and governance processes.
- Manage multiple projects independently with minimal supervision while meeting quality and delivery expectations.
- Research, recommend, and advocate for new instructional design methodologies, technologies, and innovations to support continuous improvement.
- Provide leadership to project teams when appropriate, including planning, monitoring, and reporting on progress.
