A Training Developer 3, Instructional Design, is a highly experienced professional responsible for leading the design and development of complex, enterprise-level training programs that support strategic business objectives. With 10–15 years of experience, this role partners closely with senior stakeholders, L&D consultants, and subject matter experts to analyze training needs, define learning strategies, and develop comprehensive solutions that drive measurable performance outcomes.
This position applies advanced instructional design methodologies, learning technologies, and adult learning principles to develop scalable instructor-led, eLearning, and blended learning solutions. The role independently leads large or high-impact course development initiatives, aligning instructional strategies to business needs while adhering to established design standards, templates, and governance requirements.

Qualifications:
- Education:
Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Communications, or related field preferred, or equivalent academic, internship, or practicum experience in instructional design or multimedia.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with L&D consultants, stakeholders, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to analyze training needs, define learning strategies, validate technical content, and recommend effective instructional approaches for complex or high-visibility projects.
- Applies advanced instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, assessment strategies, and learning technologies to develop scalable instructor-led, eLearning, blended learning, and digital learning solutions aligned to organizational goals, standards, accessibility requirements, and governance expectations.
- Serves as the primary instructional design resource for complex initiatives, independently leading development of advanced learning solutions, including scenario-based training, branching simulations, interactive assessments, gamified experiences, and decision-based learning.
- Designs and develops comprehensive instructional materials, including instructor-led presentations, participant and instructor guides, job aids, reference materials, and assessments, while structuring and sequencing curricula to meet defined learning objectives and diverse audience needs.
- Utilizes approved authoring tools and current instructional design practices to create accurate, learner-centered, accessible, and high-quality content aligned to business requirements.
- Demonstrates required experience with eLearning authoring tools for developing digital learning solutions, with Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise) preferred.
- Leads meetings, design reviews, and stakeholder sessions to gather requirements, validate content, communicate recommendations, and incorporate feedback throughout the development lifecycle.
- Conducts quality assurance testing and iterative revisions across all learning products, including validating eLearning functionality within the LMS staging environment; uploads and manages content in the LMS, ensuring accurate functionality, tracking, and learner experience while also providing QA/QC feedback to peers and stakeholders.
- Provides regular communication to leadership and stakeholders on project progress, risks, and key updates, maintaining accurate status tracking through project management tools.
- Supports ongoing content updates, revisions, and maintenance, ensuring accuracy, version control, and compliance with established standards while optimizing materials for usability and accessibility across delivery methods.
- Regularly uploads and maintains training content within the content management library for use by internal teams, customers, and instructors, ensuring all materials are accurate, complete, properly version-controlled, and aligned with established standards.
