Job Description:
An Intervention Facilitator advises, instructs, and works with students in an alternative classroom setting to guide behavioral and RtI strategies that will lead to positive academic and instructional outcomes. The Intervention Facilitator will deliver a broad range of expertise to meet the needs of each student in a traditional or alternative classroom setting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinates scheduling of students (and teachers as appropriate) for the purpose of maintaining ACCESS lab operations, distance learning opportunities, and instructional support activities.
- Maintains computer hardware and software applications inventory for the purpose of ensuring availability of equipment and/or instructional material in computer lab.
- Instructs and supports students in ACCESS lab technology and software applications (e.g. answers questions, keyboarding, reading/math and/or other content specific programs, etc.) for the purpose of enhancing their educational experience and reinforcing academic concepts.
- Maintains ACCESS lab (e.g. instructional materials, appropriate software, sets up materials for daily activities, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring availability of equipment and programs to enhance the instructional program.
- Monitors student activities while in ACCESS lab for the purpose of maintaining a safe environment that is conducive to learning.
- Performs routine and preventive maintenance of ACCESS lab and classroom equipment (e.g. dusting, cleaning, virus scanning creating/clearing Internet bookmarks, defragmenting, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of equipment in safe operating condition.
- Prepares documentation (e.g. grading assessments, data sets, memos, etc.) for the purpose of providing written support and/or conveying information.
- Troubleshoots malfunctions
- Opens and closes the lab and provides for the general cleanliness, safety and security of the laboratory area.
- Establishes and enforces procedures for the use of the laboratory area and the use of equipment, supplies, materials, software, hardware and peripherals.
- Oversees the academic work of students through daily feedback with the ACCESS lab teacher(s).
- Monitors student assignments and academic performance through submitting a grade analysis to the project director or registrar.
- Collaborates with the State Area monitor.
- Maintains and inventories computers, software, printers, equipment, materials, and supplies.
- Perform duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited college or university with coursework in education, social work, psychology, or other related field.
- A minimum of three (3) years of direct or related experience.
- Teacher Certification Preferred
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the board may require.
