Training Developer

Position Summary

A Training Developer 1, Instructional Design, is responsible for creating, designing, and delivering training programs and materials to educate employees or learners on specific topics or skills. The role focuses on PowerPoint development, content formatting, accessibility standards, document creation, voice‑over integration, and other instructional design support activities.

• Hybrid work schedule: 4 days in the office, 1 day remote

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Human Resources, Communications, or related field preferred; equivalent experience acceptable.
• 1‑5 years of instructional design and/or curriculum development experience.
• Strong communication skills: ability to engage with subject‑matter experts, translate technical or soft‑skill content into clear training materials, and maintain excellent verbal and written communication.
• Technology proficiency:
  Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint/Word, voice‑over narration, Adobe Pro, Microsoft SharePoint, and familiarity with authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Vyond, or Well Said.
• Adaptability to different learning styles, problem‑solving skills, interpersonal skills for building rapport with learners and stakeholders, attention to detail, and efficient project & time management.

• Collaborate with L&D consultants, stakeholders, and SMEs to identify training needs, define objectives, and understand target audience.
• Participate in meetings to gather content, clarify expectations, and incorporate stakeholder feedback throughout development.
• Design and develop comprehensive training curricula and instructional materials, including instructor‑led presentations, participant and instructor guides, job aids, reference materials, and knowledge checks/assessments.
• Convert source materials into professional, polished deliverables using approved templates and standardized formats.
• Apply instructional design principles and adult learning best practices to create engaging, learner‑centered content.
• Ensure alignment with organizational branding, formatting, and governance standards; maintain consistency across all deliverables.
• Support ongoing content updates, revisions, and maintenance activities, ensuring accuracy, version control, and compliance.
• Format and organize materials for usability and accessibility across delivery methods.
• Provide basic multimedia support, including recording and editing voice‑over narration for training delivery.
• Conduct quality assurance testing and revisions; utilize LMS to test eLearning course functionality and provide feedback.
• Communicate project progress, risks, and key updates to leadership and stakeholders; maintain accurate status tracking in project management tools.
• Upload and maintain training content within the content management library for internal teams, customers, and instructors.
