Position Summary

A Training Developer 3, Instructional Design, is a highly experienced professional responsible for leading the design and development of complex, enterprise‑level training programs that support strategic business objectives. With 10–15 years of experience, this role partners closely with senior stakeholders, L&D consultants, and subject matter experts to analyze training needs, define learning strategies, and develop comprehensive solutions that drive measurable performance outcomes.

Primary responsibilities include applying advanced instructional design methodologies, learning technologies, and adult learning principles to develop scalable instructor‑led, eLearning, and blended learning solutions. The role independently leads large or high‑impact course development initiatives, aligning instructional strategies to business needs while adhering to established design standards, templates, and governance requirements.

Qualifications
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education, instructional design, human resources, or a related field preferred; relevant certifications in training and instructional design highly desirable.
  • Experience:

    10+ years of instructional design and/or curriculum development experience, with a proven track record of designing and delivering effective, high‑impact training solutions.
  • Knowledge:
    Advanced understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and assessment techniques; ability to translate complex technical, soft skill, or industry‑specific content into clear, accurate, learner‑centered training materials.
  • Communication:
    Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage subject matter experts, stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams.
  • Technology:
    Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Word), Adobe Acrobat Pro, voice‑over tools, SharePoint, and Learning Management Systems. Experience with eLearning authoring tools, preferably Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise), is required.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with L&D consultants, stakeholders, and SMEs to analyze training needs, define learning strategies, validate technical content, and recommend effective instructional approaches for complex or high‑visibility projects.
  • Apply instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, assessment strategies, and learning technologies to develop scalable instructor‑led, eLearning, blended, and digital learning solutions aligned with organizational goals, standards, and accessibility requirements.
  • Serve as the primary instructional design resource for complex initiatives, independently leading development of advanced learning solutions, including scenario‑based training, branching simulations, interactive assessments, gamified experiences, and decision‑based learning.
  • Design and develop comprehensive instructional materials such as instructor‑led presentations, participant and instructor guides, job aids, reference materials, and assessments; structure and sequence curricula to meet defined learning objectives and diverse audience needs.
  • Utilize approved authoring tools and current instructional design practices to create accurate, learner‑centered, accessible, and high‑quality content aligned to business requirements.
  • Lead meetings, design reviews, and stakeholder sessions to gather requirements, validate content, communicate recommendations, and incorporate feedback throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Conduct quality assurance testing and iterative revisions across all learning products, including validating eLearning functionality within the LMS staging environment; upload and manage content in the LMS, ensuring accurate functionality, tracking, and learner experience.
  • Provide regular communication to leadership and stakeholders on project progress, risks, and key updates; maintain accurate status tracking through project management tools.
