The Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham seeks a non‑tenure Assistant Professor with significant expertise in cardiac and cardiovascular biology. The successful candidate will develop and lead highly innovative research programs, using state‑of‑the‑art molecular and cellular techniques to elucidate mechanisms of cardiac disease. The role requires independent work, a proven track record of mentoring post‑doctoral fellows and clinicians, and measurable contributions to NIH‑funded research that enhance the department’s research enterprise.
Required Qualifications- PhD (Science)
- Experience in biomedical research.
- Expertise in cell and molecular biology, immunology, and genomics.
- Demonstrated success in securing research funding.
