JOB PURPOSE:
The Out-of-School Learning Specialist is responsible for the effective planning, coordination and execution of Ed Farm's iCan Camps across Alabama and Georgia. This contractor role plays a critical part in delivering innovative, challenge-based out of school learning experiences that blend civic engagement, digital literacy, and computer science. The specialist will ensure smooth implementation in partnership with districts and local leaders, support program facilitators and interns, and collect and report data to measure program success.
Responsibilities- Standard availability Monday - Friday 8:00 - 5:00 PM CST with the flexibility to book outside of standard business hours based on customer needs
- Coordinate and support the delivery of out of school programs, including Code clubs and iCan Camp across designated regions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for districts, schools and site leads to ensure program alignment and execution
- Identify and onboard, and support part-time instructional staff for program facilitation
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and instructional support to instructors.
- Support training for new staff on curriculum, instructional tools, and facilitation strategies.
- Design and co-facilitate engaging, standards-aligned learning experiences using Apple tools and challenge-based learning
- Integrate digital tools, civics themes, and coding content into enriching experiences for K-12 learners.
- Track student attendance, participation, and program outcomes through regular data collection and analysis.
- Prepare reports and presentation to share impact and recommendations
- Coordinate regional events including program launch events, showcases and close-out celebrations
- Communicate regularly with Ed Farm's internal leadership and external partners to report on program progress and needs
- Foster strong relationships with school and district stakeholders to ensure alignment with their goals and expectations
