Essential Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
- Possession of a valid Alabama Professional Certificate.
- Compliance with Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) federal and state requirements.
- Strong understanding of IEP (Individualized Education Program) development and implementation.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.
- Dedication to fostering inclusive and supportive classroom environments.
- Deliver specially designed instruction to students in both self-contained and resource classrooms, ensuring progress toward IEP goals.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service staff to support student achievement.
- Develop, review, and update IEPs in partnership with families and multidisciplinary teams.
- Differentiate instructional techniques to address the unique strengths and challenges of each student.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal policies.
- Participate in professional development and ongoing training to enhance instructional practices.
