The Department of World Languages and Literatures at the University of Alabama at Birmingham invites applications for a Credentialed Course Instructor to teach one or two in‑person introductory/intermediate Japanese language and culture courses during the fall semester beginning August 11, 2026, and ending December 11, 2026.
- PhD or MA in Japanese or a related field
- 18 graduate credit hours in Japanese as required by SACSOC
- Previous experience in teaching Japanese in higher education
