STUDENT AFFAIRS SPECIALIST II (T238753)

General ResponsibilitiesThe Coordinator of Student Organizations is a full-time professional staff member reporting to the Assistant Director of Student Programs. S/he will assist the Assistant Director with the implementation and assessment of student programs and resources within the Office of Student Family Engagement.

$35,570 – $41,000
QualificationsMinimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Social Sciences or a related field and two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
Preferred
Master's degree with a concentration in College Student Personnel, Higher Education Administration, Leadership or a related field.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities- 1-2 years in a university setting (time spent as a graduate assistant will count towards this requirement).
- Demonstrated knowledge of advising and student organization management.
- Exemplary organizational skills with a strong emphasis on details.
- Experience in planning programs and events.
- Ability to present workshops and training sessions that address harm reduction, membership recruitment, organization management, and event planning.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Evening and weekend work may be required throughout the year.
- Strong computer skills using Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel and the Engage platform.
