Assistant Professor of Teaching or Instructor in Marketing
Job DescriptionThe Department of Marketing, Distribution, and Economics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) invites applications for a full‑time, non‑tenure track Assistant Professor of Teaching in Marketing, with an anticipated start date of August 2027. Depending upon candidate background and experience, primary teaching responsibilities for the position may include areas such as digital/social media marketing, sport marketing, and neuromarketing. While the position is non‑tenure earning and carries a standard 4/4 teaching load, candidates with a terminal degree in a relevant discipline who maintain Scholarly Academic (SA) status in accordance with AACSB guidelines will be eligible for a one‑course load reduction.
Candidates with interest or experience in behavioral research methods and/or student organization advising are encouraged to highlight this in their application, as opportunities exist to engage with the department's behavioral lab and active student organizations.

Only candidates holding a terminal degree in Marketing or a closely related field will be considered for the position. Applicants that can demonstrate a consistent history of instructional success at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels will be especially well‑regarded.
