SUMMARYAt Alabama Goodwill Industries, our Mission is to help change lives through the power of work. The Paid Mission Client participates in a structured, three-week paid work-based learning experience designed to develop essential workplace skills, strengthen employment readiness, and provide hands-on experience in a supportive work environment. The Paid Mission Client completes assigned training and work-based learning activities, demonstrates workplace competencies, follows AGI policies and procedures, and works with a Personal Development Coach (PDC) to prepare for potential employment opportunities with AGI.Successful

completion of the Paid Mission Client experience and applicable program requirements may provide the opportunity to apply for an open AGI team member position based on the individual's skills, training, qualifications, and available positions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS WORK-BASED LEARNING & WORKPLACE PARTICIPATION Participates in a structured three-week paid work-based learning experience designed to develop workplace skills and employment readiness.

Reports to the assigned Personal Development Coach (PDC) at the scheduled date and time and follows established work-based learning schedules and expectations.

Participates in hands-on learning experiences that support the development of workplace knowledge, skills, productivity, safety, and customer service.

Demonstrates professionalism, dependability, appropriate workplace behavior, and a willingness to learn.

Follows AGI policies, procedures, safety requirements, attendance expectations, and workplace standards.

Participates in assigned activities across applicable AGI operational areas based on training needs and program requirements.

TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT Completes assigned Goodwill U training and other required work-based learning curriculum within the three-week program period.

Participates in training that may include:

Navigating the River Living a Safety Culture Apparel Processing, including Hanger and Sorter functions

Donation Processor Sales Floor Pricer, including Wares Applies knowledge and skills gained through training to assigned work-based learning activities.

Works with the PDC to identify strengths, areas for development, and employment goals.

Demonstrates the ability to receive instruction, learn new tasks, and apply feedback in the workplace.

PROGRAM PARTICIPATION & ACCOUNTABILITY Maintains regular communication with the assigned PDC regarding work-based learning activities, training, attendance, and progress.

Completes required program documentation and participates in assessments or other activities necessary to support successful program completion.

Demonstrates appropriate workplace conduct and follows direction from assigned AGI personnel.

Maintains confidentiality and protects AGI, customer, donor, participant, and organizational information as required.

Demonstrates AGI Core Values and adherence to organizational policies.

Performs other duties as assigned.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY Upon successful completion of the applicable work-based learning curriculum and program criteria, the Paid Mission Client may have the opportunity to apply for an open AGI team member position at the applicable AGI location.

Applies for available positions based on demonstrated skills, training, qualifications, and employment interests.

Participates in the AGI interview and selection process for available team member positions.

Understands that completion of the Paid Mission Client experience does not guarantee employment as an AGI team member.

TRAINING & EXPERIENCE No specific prior work experience is required for participation in the Paid Mission Client work-based learning experience.
