OT - Sales Estimator

Estimator – Industrial Manufacturing

Summary Responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and customer quotations for custom industrial parts and mechanical components. Partners with cross-functional teams to ensure competitive pricing aligned with margin targets and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and BOMs to determine material, labor, and overhead costs
• Prepare cost estimates and formal quotations
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to validate assumptions and lead times
• Identify value-engineering and cost-reduction opportunities
• Maintain estimating data and support Sales with bids and proposals

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of estimating experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong ability to read technical drawings and specifications
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP/MRP systems
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Preferred

• Experience with custom mechanical assemblies, industrial chains, conveyors, or heavy equipment
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing or value engineering
