Pharmaceutical Technician

This position is responsible for assisting with all aspects of aseptic, terminally sterilized, polymer (clean rooms), and non-aseptic (Pilot Plant) processes and procedures for pharmaceutical and polymer manufacturing, including development, engineering, clinical-phase, and commercial operations.

• Demonstrate personal proficiency of aseptic technique with minimal supervision.
• Accurately execute development/engineering, GLP or GMP batch records.
• Perform complex, multi-step solution preparations and disassemble process equipment on multiple unit operations for extrusion, microsphere, liposome, or polymerization processes.
• Operate PLC controlled equipment, including adjusting set-points as directed in batch records.
• Use basic hand tools required for equipment operation.
• Execute in-process environmental monitoring.
• Participate in the execution of IOQs with direct supervision.

• Proficiency in chemical mixing, compounding, and chemical handling.
• Experience with GMP, GLP, batch record documentation.
• Ability to operate basic equipment and perform routine tasks.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to follow strict, detailed instructions.

• Ability to carry out operational tasks by following established processes.
• Experience in assisting with equipment and appliance installation.
• Understanding of mandatory work instructions, including the use of personal protection equipment.

This is a Contract position based out of Birmingham, AL.

The pay range for this position is $26.75 - $26.75/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Birmingham, AL.
