Sirius Staffing is seeking a CAD Designer for a contract role in Theodore, AL. This role is responsible for creating, managing, and producing high‑quality technical drawings and design packages in collaboration with engineers and project teams. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced environment and can efficiently handle high volumes of drawing production and revisions.

• 5–10 years of experience in the chemical or petrochemical industry preferred
• Proficiency in Brics
  
  CAD, AutoCAD, and 3D modeling software such as AVEVA
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Experience with document control systems (Adept, Plant Doc, or similar platforms)
• Ability to assemble and manage drawing packages
• Experience creating scale drawings and extracting background drawings from 3D models
• Ability to manage high drawing volumes, including bulk editing and batch plotting
• Experience managing drawing number systems across multiple projects
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work efficiently with engineers and designers

• Create and modify electrical and instrumentation drawings including:
  • Cable tray plans
  • Underground duct bank layouts
  • Lighting and power distribution plans
  • Grounding plans
  • Motor schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Communication plans
  • Installation details
  • Instrument loop sheets
  • P&
• Generate accurate scale drawings based on project requirements
• Extract and prepare drawing backgrounds from 3D models
• Assemble complete drawing packages for review and issue
• Ensure document control standards and numbering systems are maintained
• Meet project deadlines while maintaining high quality and accuracy
