We are seeking a skilled Geologist with experience in installing groundwater and surface water instrumentation systems in and around dams, levees, and CCR sites. The role involves collecting real-time data and performance monitoring using a variety of instrumentation, including inclinometers, water quality measurement tools, solar battery charging stations, and cellular/satellite communication systems.

• Install and maintain groundwater and surface water instrumentation systems.
• Conduct field investigations using various drilling methods.
• Perform soil and rock logging, monitoring well construction, and groundwater monitoring.
• Collect and report field data effectively.
• Utilize visual soil sampling and logging methods for analysis.

• 3-10 years of geologist experience.
• Proficiency in environmental science, geology, and geotechnical principles.
• Experience in water quality measurement and analysis.
• Ability to conduct soil sampling, classification, testing, and evaluation.

• Previous experience in visual soil sampling and logging, with a strong emphasis on visual analysis.

This role is field-based, involving extensive travel across Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi. The work schedule consists of four 10-hour days.

This is a Contract position based out of Birmingham, AL.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Birmingham, AL.
