Senior Technical Manager, Dams and Levees

WSP is looking for a Senior Dam Engineer to lead our Dams and Levees team that can sit in our Chamblee(Atlanta), GA, other GA locations, Alabama, or Tennessee, WSP office . Your Impact

* Lead the design and analysis of dam structures, including earthfill, rockfill, concrete gravity, and arch dams.

* Oversee the construction and maintenance of dams, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

* Conduct site investigations and assessments to determine the feasibility and safety of dam projects.

* Prepare detailed engineering reports, designs, and technical specifications.

* Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.

* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including geologists, hydrologists, and environmental scientists.

* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and staff.

* Ensure adherence to environmental and safety regulations throughout all project phases.

* Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for potential dam failures or issues.

* Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

* Attend industry events, conferences, and seminars to promote WSP's and your profile.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering.

* Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

* Minimum of 10 years of experience in dam engineering or a related field.

* Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, HEC-RAS, and GIS.

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering.
