Pay Rate: $66.50/Hr. on W2

Position Summary
- We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer - Piping SR 3 to support piping and mechanical design projects for power generation and heavy industrial facilities.
- This role will focus on retrofit, environmental, and new generation projects involving detailed piping layouts, equipment modeling, and construction support.
- Develop 3D piping and equipment designs for retrofit and new construction projects.
- Produce 2D orthographic drawings, isometric drawings, P&IDs, pipe support designs, and general arrangement drawings
. - Create and maintain accurate 3D models using industry-standard design software.
- Collaborate with engineers and multi-discipline design teams to deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective solutions.
- Perform field walk-downs and gather site data to support design deliverables.
- Prepare material take-offs and assist with sizing/selection of piping components and valves.
- Review and check design drawings/documents for accuracy and compliance.
- Provide construction and field support as required.
- Lead technical teams on assigned projects when needed.
- 20+ years of piping/mechanical design experience in power plants or similar heavy industrial facilities.
- Strong knowledge of piping systems, materials, valve selection, and construction practices
. - Experience with 3D modeling tools for piping layout and design.
- Proficiency in creating P&IDs, isometrics, orthographic drawings, and pipe support designs
. - Ability to manage multiple large projects with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Experience with Auto Plant and/or AVEVA design software.
- Prior experience supporting plant operations, engineering teams, and vendor coordination.
