** Ensure all Environmental Health & Safety policies and procedures are adhered to by all Team Members Follow and comply with all operational procedures/policies as stated in the employee Environmental Health and Safety programs Follows and supports Magna’s operating principles, including:

Make studies and analyses of Environmental incidents causes and risks for use by company personnel and outside agencies. Utilizes Risk Assessments to develop systems and procedures that reduce risk of potential and severity of environmental incidents or non-conformances. Reviews and updates Environmental policies and procedures to be followed by company or plant personnel in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations.

Consults with all departments on design and use of equipment, shops, fire prevention and safety program. Inspects or tours organization facilities to detect existing or potential environmental as well as accident and health hazards and recommend corrective or preventative measures where indicated. Keeps managers and employees alerted as to the hazards of working with dangerous chemicals, and any other hazardous substances.

Participates in the investigation of incidents, accidents and injuries and cooperates in the preparation of material and evidence for organization use in hearings, lawsuits, and insurance investigations. Compiles and submits accidents reports required by regulatory agencies. May be asked to Support the administration of workers’ compensation program. Devises, supervises, and coordinates training programs or media which will increase proficiency in environmental and support safe practices.

Represents the organization in community or industry safety groups and programs. Maintains environmental files and records. Verify, maintain & follow up on both internal & external corrective actions and monitor/follow up on continuous improvement activities. Oversee consultant activities as needed and coordinate ISO 14001 certification audits. Ensures compliance with all environmental rules, policies and permits. Perform other…
