Are you ready to make a measurable impact on the future of nuclear energy? ENERCON is seeking a Project Engineer to support Power Uprate initiatives within the Nuclear Services Group. This high‑visibility role directly contributes to increasing reactor output, optimizing performance, and advancing energy efficiency across nuclear facilities nationwide.
The Project Engineer will plan and execute complex engineering tasks, collaborate with technical experts and project managers, and deliver safe, cost‑effective, and regulatory‑compliant solutions. This position offers flexibility across several locations and a dynamic, mission‑driven environment.

- Lead strategic discussions and coordinate team efforts to meet quality and deadlines while keeping clients informed.
- Manage budgets, refine proposals, identify new opportunities, and motivate the team to achieve project objectives.
- Serve as a technical leader, ensuring design engineering projects meet quality goals and client satisfaction.
- Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to schedule and budget, producing detailed reports and financial status updates.
- Collaborate with technical staff to develop high‑value engineering proposals, support marketing efforts, and follow up on new opportunities.
- Act as a single point of contact for assigned projects and foster working relationships with clients.
- Design engineering experience in power facilities, including modification, implementation, calculations, and specifications.
- Minimum of 6 years in the nuclear, power, or industrial industries as an engineer or project manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear, Chemical Engineering or related field, or equivalent PMP certification with 10 years applicable experience.
- PE license strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in budget and accounting processes.
- Excellent organizational, time‑management, strategic planning, writing, communication, decision‑making, and presentation skills.
- Effective communication across disciplines and teams.
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Required unescorted access to nuclear sites and ability to travel 10–15% of time.
