- Lead civil/structural engineering deliverables, ensuring compliance with BS, Eurocodes, and ENA standards
- Manage design, analysis, and consultancy for T&D infrastructure, including substations, overhead lines, and underground cables.
- Approve designs, conduct technical reviews, and maintain compliance with CDM Regulations.
- Support cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and enhance UK civil/structural engineering capabilities.
- Develop new methodologies, refine engineering processes, and integrate BIM principles (Revit, Civil 3D, Tekla Tedds).
- Drive customer success, support bids, and foster relationships to expand our presence in the sector.
- Ensure adherence to client transmission procedures and industry best practices.
- Degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).
- 7 years civil/structural design experience.
- Expertise in client (National Grid TP, SSEN & SPEN) procedures, CDM 2015, and Temporary Works.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, CAD/BIM software, and structural analysis tools.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and engage with diverse stakeholders.
- 5 years civil/structural design experience in T&D.
- Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status with ICE or IstructE or an equivalent professional licence gained through the professional institution to which the individual is aligned.
- Health & Safety qualifications (IOSH, NEBOSH, APS). Experience as a Contractor Design Approval Engineer (CDAE).
- Substation safety training (NSI 30, BESC:AIM).
