Chemical/Production Engineer

The Chemical/Production Engineer supports all production related activities by developing and implementing ideas that result in improved performance in safety/environmental, quality, production cost control, material yield and process operability. The Production Engineer will fill in as department manager when needed. Duties/Responsibilities:

• Monitor process performance and identify process control and quality control problems and develop implement ideas for eliminating problems, reducing cost, improving operability and yield
• Maintain a safe work practices and make all reasonable efforts to comply with PSM and all other company policies and regulations affecting the safety and health of our employees and the environment
• Provide technical support for preparation, startup and optimization of new or revised production processes
• Assist in the development and future revision to Standard Operating Procedures and ensure compliance
• Communicate regularly and openly with operators, technical support and management to report or resolve conditions affecting safety, quality, environmental or efficiency of the unit.
