- Mechanical Designer must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience related to the design of new construction and / or retrofit of power generation facilities.
- Proficient in AutoCAD 2007 (or later) with emphasis on 3D modelling.
- Experience in the preparation and checking of P&IDs is also preferred.
- Candidates must have experience with mechanical design activities including overall design and layout of piping systems, selection and use of power piping components, pipe routing, and pipe support design.
- Proven experience with developing P&IDs, 3D models, orthographic and isometric piping drawings, and pipe support details is desired.
- Provide 3D piping/ equipment designs for retrofit and environmental projects for the client's non-nuclear fleet of generating facilities.
- Work with engineers and other designers of various disciplines to ensure safe, timely, efficient design that complies with company policies and procedures as well as applicable codes and standards.
