PSS - Project Controls Cost Analyst WORK LOCATION
- This position will be located in Birmingham, AL
- This position will require a mix of both field and office work.
This position is responsible for the development, maintenance, and reporting of engineering, procurement, and construction cost data for assigned projects.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONSEducation:
- College diploma or university degree in an engineering, technical, or business field or minimum 5 years relevant experience required.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years working directly in project controls/project management/construction management highly preferred.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment required.
- Experience performing cost tracking and analysis on large EPC projects (engineering, procurement and construction) highly preferred.
- Experience using Maximo, Oracle, Contruent, and other associated cost tracking tools preferred.
Knowledge:
- Above average understanding of project cost tracking / analysis techniques along with knowledge and understanding of project controls methods, procedures, and cost tools.
- Knowledge of construction and engineering productivity/earned value processes.
- Knowledge of project management principles.
- Knowledge of proper change management tracking and implementation.
Skills:
- Excellent computer skills including Maximo, Oracle, and all Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent oral, written, and facilitation skills are essential.
- Self‑motivated with attention to detail and accuracy and the ability to perform all job requirements with minimal supervision.
- Exhibit ability to work closely with project and construction managers, procurement, and departmental members to ensure consistency and standardization on all projects.
- Innovative learner with ability to bring fresh ideas to the team.

- Travel will be at a minimum of 25%, with regular site visits as required.
