Our client, a leader in their field seeks a Chemical Control Officer for their Birmingham, AL site
Required:
- BS in Chemistry, Toxicology, or related
- 4-10 years of experience from the Chemical Industry with examples of working with state, local and federal agencies keeping a facility in compliance with OSHA, EPA and related agencies.
- experience with REACH
The Chemical Control Officer will be placed at their plant near Birmingham, AL. This is a 50 person plant but this company employs over 600 people. Will be responsible for keeping this facility in compliance with a variety of agencies such as TSCA, EPA, and OSHA. Will author Safety Sheets and also compliance with REACH for the US, UK, and Canada.

Provides support to the Specialty Chemicals Business Unit primarily in the area of Regulatory Compliance specifically as it relates to the various chemicals developed, manufactured, distributed, and sold by the business, both domestically and internationally. This position is responsible for ensuring chemical compliance with all safety, occupational health, security, and environmental regulatory requirements required to undertake the business unit activities stated above.
