SR Structural Engineer

Duration: 36 Months

Note:

If the successful individuals are local, then occasional site visits may be required and hybrid schedule is Monday-Thursday in office with Friday being a remote day. The manager will also consider fully remote candidates.

The SR Structural Engineer position requires 20+ years heavy industrial/power plant experience or accredited bachelor's & master's degree in engineering and professional engineering license.

• Providing structural engineering services and field support, conducting preparation of designs and calculations, conducting site walk downs of construction sites, developing cost estimates and material takeoffs.
• Providing schedule and staffing input for projects and producing and checking structural steel design calculations and drawings.

• Detailed knowledge of structural steel and concrete design principles and industry methodologies, significant structural steel connection design experience, proficiency with structural codes and standards
• Extensive knowledge of heavy industrial structures and components, strong computer skills
• Proficiency with structural computer programs such as STAAD PRO, proficiency with OSHA regulations
• Able to coordinate and manage multiple large scale, multi-discipline projects
• Able to perform structural inspections and provide written report
• Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities, and the ability to build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff, and/or vendors.
