The Drafter 2 position requires 2–5 years of drafting experience. An associate's degree in Drafting and Design is preferred. The Drafter 2 will support surveying and engineering projects by preparing CAD drawings, researching survey and real estate records, and assisting field and office personnel. Key Responsibilities
- Perform CAD drafting for transmission line centerline right-of-way, boundary, topographic, and land tie surveys.
- Interpret and prepare “metes and bounds” and “centerline” descriptions for assigned projects.
- Support survey field crews and office personnel with drafting and project-related activities.
- Research existing survey records and real estate records to support assigned projects.
- Contact local and state agencies to obtain right-of-way information.
- Review and interpret survey and property information for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and transmit completed projects and related documentation.
- Collaborate with survey field crews and office personnel to ensure project requirements are met.
- 2–5 years of drafting experience.
- Experience with CAD drafting.
- Ability to interpret survey and property information.
- Ability to read and prepare metes and bounds or centerline descriptions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to research survey and real estate records.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Associate’s degree in Drafting and Design.
- Experience supporting surveying, transmission line, right-of-way, or utility projects.
- Experience working with local and state agencies regarding right-of-way information.
