Our client is a long-standing, family-owned company specializing in chemicals, situated in the Birmingham region. With over six decades of history, they have experienced steady growth in recent years.
Job Description:We’re seeking an Automation Engineer to join a dedicated team focused on automating our chemical manufacturing facility. The team utilizes Rockwell PLCs, PlantPAx (Rockwell’s DCS platform), as well as HMI and SCADA systems. In this role, you will primarily work on programming control systems and instrumentation. You will collaborate with two other process control engineers, one of whom leads the group.
While most of the work is office-based, there will be occasional visits to the manufacturing plant. You may also be involved in troubleshooting communication networks, with limited travel required.
- Preferably a degree in Electrical Engineering or Chemical Engineering
- At least 3 years of experience in chemical manufacturing post-graduation, or relevant experience with integrator companies. Experience in PSM-regulated environments is a plus.
