Job Description

The Financial Accountant supports financial decision-making by collecting, analyzing, investigating, and reporting financial data.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Prepare monthly financial statement reporting packages for business leaders; analyze and investigate variances; summarize data, information, and trends.
• Collaborate with business leaders to analyze spending.
• Reconcile cash accounts daily; prepare monthly reconciliations (Cash, Prepaid, Accruals, etc.) in Blackline.
• Prepare payroll general ledger postings.
• Reconcile petty cash accounts at month-end.
• Prepare month-end journal entries.
• Assist the Corporate Controller and Assistant Controller with allocation methodologies (company, location, department).
• Handle tax issues with government authorities.
• Create and modify accounting and finance standard operating procedures.
• Assist in providing schedules and analysis during annual external audits.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly fuel tax reports and provide fuel analysis reports for management.
• Collaborate on projects, ad-hoc reporting, or analysis as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university (Required).
• Minimum two years' experience in corporate accounting.
• Knowledge of GAAP.

The ideal candidate will coordinate and execute account reconciliations, budget compilation, and support accounts payable functions.
