Overview
We are seeking an experienced Head of Finance to oversee all financial operations in our USA division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and internal controls. This role requires a hands-on approach, strong analytical skills, and the ability to support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP and company policies.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis to support business growth.
- Monitor cash flow, banking, and treasury functions.
- Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Manage audits (internal and external) and coordinate with auditors to maintain compliance.
- Maintain and improve internal controls, financial policies, and procedures.
- Ensure adequate insurance policies are in place to cover the changing risks of the business
- Assist the Group CFO on the IT strategy of the business as the USA builds foundations and requires more self-sufficiency
- Provide financial insights to executive leadership to drive profitability and efficiency.
- Support strategic planning, mergers, acquisitions, and business expansion.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
- Build a finance team as the USA moves to self-sufficiency, ensuring professional development and high performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred).
- 7+ years of financial leadership experience, ideally in a manufacturing, distribution, or service-based company.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in financial software (Sage
200, Sage Intacct, Sage CRM) is desirable but not essential if exposure to other ERP systems). - Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
