Controller, Finance & Banking, Accounting & Finance

A client of ours is seeking a Controller who will manage the Finance & Accounting function, including fund accounting and reporting, internal management company accounting, special finance and accounting projects, and compliance matters.

• Manage the Accounts Payable and check‑writing function for approximately 40 different funds and entities.
• Oversee treasury matters such as check printing, remote deposit capture, and bank account monitoring.
• Coordinate tax filings with outside CPA advisors.
• Perform key aspects of the monthly close process (journal entries, intercompany reconciliations, bank reconciliations).
• Process and review firm expense reports.
• Interface with institutional investor groups regarding capital calls and distributions.
• Process payroll and manage personnel files.
• Coordinate audit preparation with outside CPA advisors.
• Play an integral role in a pending systems conversion.

Internally, the Controller will interact with the client’s team, particularly senior leadership. Externally, the Controller will interface with portfolio company personnel, investors, and various service providers.

• Strong Accounting Educational Credentials – Understanding of operational accounting, monthly close processes, journal entries, basic financial statements, and core accounting concepts
