Indirect Tax Manager

Summary

We're seeking an adept and skilled Indirect Tax Manager to add to our team.
As a key member of our finance department, you'll ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations and contribute to our goal of maintaining financial accuracy at our organization. You will also oversee all tax-related functions, including filing tax returns, advising the leadership team, and managing sales tax audits.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in tax law and regulations, experience managing tax compliance, and a passion for providing exceptional tax planning and advice.

• Process and remit $3-5 million in sales tax each month, with the average for this year being around $4.2 million. Time management is important to prevent late filings with penalties/interest.
• Manage 3-5 State Sales & Use Tax Audits each year
• Manages tax adjustment (approximately 2,000) credit invoices per month and file approximately 65 Sales Tax Returns per month
• Will accrue, file, and pay Use tax returns monthly for every Branch
• They file annual Business License applications and/or renewals for all CPS branches in the State, County, and City.
• File 3 Business Personal Property Tax Renditions for all CPS locations we operate (around 200 returns annually) with a value of approx. $3-5 million per year
• Process payments for all company tax bills.
• File about 65 Kentucky Net Profit & Loss Returns each year, as well as about 15 Occupational Tax returns for our Kentucky Branches
• File amended returns for any large customer purchases that are presented with exemption forms after the billings have been remitted
• Responsible for monthly account reconciliations of the Sales & Use Tax Account and the Ad Valorum Tax Account
