Risk Manager/Analyst, Financial Compliance
Summary
Responsible for creating an exceptional lending experience by providing appropriate decisions on small business or consumer loan requests including real estate loans, secured & unsecured term loans, and lines of credit in a timely and accurate manner. Works with members and staff from all markets to review submitted applications for suitability to First Bank’s current lending policies and goals. Adheres to established loan policies, policies, laws, and regulations while demonstrating unwavering commitment to First Bank’s mission, vision and values.
Upholds legal, regulatory and compliance requirements unique to the role, in addition to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, OFAC, and Information Security policies and procedures. Completes annually required compliance related courses as established by First Bank.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Inputs construction loans into construction management system in accordance with credit approval and budget
- Manages construction draw process based on percentage of completion
- Interfaces with RMs, RMAs, and customers to properly service construction loans
- Post payments, draws and principal reductions
- Loan account research
- General loan questions/research
- Resolve day-to-day operational issues
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the Bank’s core system & Built Construction management system
- Assist in project initiatives by performing necessary research
- Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations as applicable to your job duties. This includes but is not limited to; complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls; report any known violations of compliance policy, laws, or regulations and report any suspicious customer and/or account activity.

Education and/or Experience- Three years’ experience as a Small Business or Consumer Underwriter or Portfolio Manager (or similar role) for a financial institution required.
- High school diploma required.
- College Degree a plus but not required
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to explain programs, loan terms, features, policies and benefits to members and business partners.
- Strong relationship building and teamwork skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Multi-lingual capabilities to include Spanish are a plus.
