Are you an experienced Private Client and Personal Tax professional looking for a role offering genuine career progression?
Situated in Birmingham City Centre, this well‑known accountancy firm is currently recruiting for a technically strong Private Client Tax Manager. The role would suit either a qualified Manager looking to take their next step, or someone already working in a supervisory/managerial position. The firm has a growing client base driven by good marketing work and a high number of referrals.
The successful applicant will be responsible for a portfolio of HNWIs & UHNWIs and will report into the Tax Partner. You will be tasked with supervising a small team, working on ad‑hoc tax advisory projects as well as other compliance‑focused areas (Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax & Trusts). You will also be expected to conduct technical research for the use and benefit of your team.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a private client portfolio, focusing on self‑assessment tax returns and advisory services.
- Supervise Tax Seniors and Trainees, providing guidance and reviewing their work.
- Contribute to departmental initiatives and training programmes.
- Support Tax Partners and identify cross‑selling opportunities.
- Maintain up‑to‑date technical knowledge and participate in marketing activities.
- ATT or CTA qualified with at least 5 years' experience in Personal Tax within a practice environment.
The Central Birmingham office is commutable from areas across the West Midlands.
