The Account Transfer Team Supervisor – is a dynamic, team-based role within Argent’s Operations Department. The Operations Department supports the full range of services provided to Argent’s clients, including account transfers, asset movement, client deposit and disbursement processing, fund accounting, mail processing, and reconciliation of client and DDA accounts. The department maintains daily interaction with internal personnel and external financial institutions.
Job SummaryThe Account Transfer Team Supervisor plays a vital role in delivering exceptional service to Argent’s clients. In this position, the supervisor leads a team responsible for managing the end-to-end process of moving client assets between financial institutions, serving as a central point of communication among custodians, counter parties, internal operations teams, and front office administration. This role oversees the accurate and compliant coordination of asset transitions, cash movements, and account information to ensure timely and efficient execution.

Account Transfer Team Supervisor
- Oversee the process of incoming and outgoing client account transfer requests in accordance with firm policies, custodian requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Facilitate communication with custodians, counter parties, internal operations teams, and front office staff to ensure the smooth and timely transfer of assets, cash, and account data.
- Review and validate transfer documentation for accuracy and completeness prior to submission, including ACATS and non-ACATS transfers as applicable.
- Verify trust legal documentation to ensure compliance with the requirements of each account transfer request.
- Monitor and track the status of transfer requests by reviewing the Transfer Database regularly. Notify the team to provide timely and proactive updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve transfer discrepancies or exceptions in a thorough and efficient manner.
- Maintain accurate records and comprehensive audit trials for all transfer activities in accordance with firm record-keeping standards.
- Support continuous process improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of operational excellence.
- Review and maintain SOPs and training resources annually for the front office regarding transfer-related documents.
- Review daily reconciliation outages and work with the team to resolve them promptly.
- Set and support annual goals for respective team members.
- Assist with projects, conversions, and daily tasks as needed. Some weekends, holidays, and overtime may be required.
- Strong attention to detail with solid analytical, research, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of financial securities markets, investment products, and account transfer processes (ACATS/non-ACATS) preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Familiarity with trust documentation and fiduciary account structures is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a cohesive team environment.
- College degree in a business-related field preferred.
- 4–6 years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably in trust operations, brokerage operations, or a related back-office function.
- Demonstrated experience managing account transfer processes, including ACATS and non-ACATS transfers.
- Basic to intermediate accounting knowledge, including a working understanding of debits, credits, and reconciliation practices.
- Familiarity with SOP development, and staff training preferred.
