Position Overview

The Financial Project Manager is responsible for managing complex financial projects and providing cost control, forecasting, and financial analysis support for engineering procurement and construction projects. This role partners with business units to build schedules, monitor project financial performance, and provide visibility into the overall financial health of projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong project financial management experience, analytical skills, and the ability to drive cost efficiency and reporting accuracy.

  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and overall financial performance
  • Review and approve invoices and related financial documentation
  • Provide cost projections and identify trends for management reporting
  • Track project progress and provide updates on financial health
  • Develop resource plans and cash flow forecasts to support future project needs
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve cost engineering issues
  • Review expense forms and invoice documentation for accuracy and compliance
  • Monitor project scope, schedules, and costs to ensure successful execution
  • Perform detailed financial analysis and forecasting activities
  • Analyze price variances and investigate underlying causes
  • Collaborate with business units and project teams to develop schedules and financial plans
  • Provide reporting and recommendations to support management decision-making
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to financial processes and project controls
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering project financial management and cost controls
  • Strong understanding of project financial management and cost estimation methodologies
  • Experience performing financial modeling and forecasting
  • Ability to analyze financial data and identify cost trends
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects
  • Strong knowledge of project controls and resource planning
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience preparing executive-level financial reports and presentations
  • Proficiency with Excel and financial reporting systems
