Responsible for the integration and application of financial planning tools and concepts into the overall service model of a Financial Advisor team, as well as client engagement. Provides leadership to the Financial Advisor team, contributing to strategic planning and team training.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Influence and participate in establishing the strategic direction of the Financial Advisor team to increase revenue, providing clear advice to avoid ad hoc investment products.
  • Develop household balance sheets and cash flow analyses, including long-term retirement income planning. Asset/liability management is key to client planning.
  • Implement goals-based planning tools to quantify clients' objectives by meeting with clients and identifying individualized goals, assessing lifestyle expectations, and pre-retirement planning.
  • Proficiently use firm-provided software to create, plan, and update financial plans.
  • Lead or participate in client presentations on financial planning topics.
  • Identify opportunities to refer clients for estate and financial planning aligned with goal-based tools.
  • Collaborate with Financial Advisors and Portfolio Management Officers to determine appropriate asset allocations based on client goals and cash flow.
  • Work with Product Managers to gain expertise in planning areas like social security and college planning, creating client-facing materials.
  • Regularly update client profiles and plans, conducting annual reviews with Financial Advisors.
  • Identify opportunities to attract assets and promote Truist Bank products and services as appropriate.
  • Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and training.
    • Proven track record in relationship management and client service.

    • FINRA Series 7, 66 (or 63/65) licenses and insurance licenses.
    • Strong writing and presentation skills.
    • Ability to effectively present to management, groups, and boards.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
